Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for some types of WBMDFC scholarship schemes are given below:-
Pre- matric Scholarship
- The applicants have to be domiciles of West Bengal.
- The applicants have to be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
- The applicants must have secured not less than 50 percent marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
- The annual family income must not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
- The students who are studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for the pre-matric or post-matric scholarship.
Post-matric Scholarship
- The applicants have to be domiciles of West Bengal.
- The applicants have to be studying in a School/ Institution known by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
- The applicants must have secured not less than 50% marks.
- The annual family income must not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
- The students who are studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for the pre-matric or post-matric scholarship.
Merit Cum- Means Scholarships
- The applicants have to be domiciles of West Bengal.
- The applicants must have got admission in a technical or professional course.
- The applicants must have secured at least 50 percent marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.
- The annual family income of the student must not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.
- The students who are residents of West Bengal, are also eligible for applying.
Talent Support stipend
- The applicants have to be domiciles of West Bengal.
- The applicants must have got admission in a technical or professional course.
- The applicants must have secured at least 50 percent marks in the last Higher Secondary/ Graduation examination.
- The annual family income of the student must not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.
- The students who are residents of West Bengal, are also eligible to apply.
Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship
- The applicants have to be a student of Class – XI and XII
- Or the applicants have to be under the Graduate level in Medical, Engineering, and Professional courses besides Under Graduate.
- The WBMDFC scholarships are going to be given to the students on merit-cum-means criteria.
- The students who are pursuing M.Phil courses and Doctoral courses from State-aided Institutions are eligible to apply.
- The upper ceiling for family income has been determined at Rs.2,50,000/- per year.
