How to Access UTSA ASAP Degreeworks?

What You Will Find on DegreeWorks?

To view your ‘Plans’, you can click on the ‘Plans’ tab. Then, choose Appropriate Plan. You can then click on the ‘Notes’ using the ‘View’ drop down menu (Upper-Right). Then, you can view the SxS plan in ‘Notes’ to allow you view your advisor suggested courses, alongside the important notes and cues which are associated with your success including credit hours to be earned, minimum grades needed, critical courses and essential comments.

‘What If’ will work to help you to change your major or degree plan. Through the ‘What-If’ function, you can see how in progress or completed courses would translate to a new major plus get a look at what you would still need to complete.

Before clicking on the what-if tab you’ll need to look at a couple of things, here are they:

  • First, make note of your catalog degree plans which can vary depending on catalog so you will need to make sure you are selecting the right one in the next step.
  • Second, to make note of is your current degree progress bar. This percentage gives you a general idea of how much of your degree plan you have completed.

Once you notice a couple things that we have mentioned above, you can continue to run a ‘What-If’ by clicking on the ‘What-If’ tab on the left side of the screen next.

  • Here, you can choose the catalog. However, it can be the catalog that you are currently in or any newer catalog.
  • Then, you need to select the program you are interested in changing to, in this case Global Affairs, make sure that the major shows correctly. If you are considering adding a minor you can select one from the list.
  • Another option is adding a second major. Now click on the process ‘What-If’. Then, a new audit will be generated based on the information you selected on the previous screen and the courses you have already completed.
  • The first thing to look at is how the new progress bar compares to your current major.
  • All courses you have passed and the ones who are currently registered in will fall into the new degree plan where appropriate and will show up in green for completed and yellow for in progress. Last, all requirements in red will list course options needed to satisfy that requirement.
