- Criteria: The students must be enrolled at The University of Texas at San Antonio or UTSA, whether it is part time or full time, for a minimum of two semesters before the Clinical teaching semester. They also have to be clinical during the semester in which this scholarship is given. The US citizen or permanent citizen are the ones who can get this scholarship. The GPA should be 3.0. The students have to write a Letter or Commitment to teach/Essay and letter or recommendation from UTSA Faculty member.

- Criteria: The students must be female who constitute a minority of the geology majors. They have to be undergraduate geology major with the best academic performance during the past year as determined by the geology scholarship committee. Another requirement is they must enrolled full time and are actively pursuing a degree in Geology.

- Name: San Antonio Geophysical Society Research Scholarship
- Criteria: The applicants have to submit one pay essay describing the research. The essay has to include a description of how their participation at the conference is relevant to the educational development as a geoscientist if the funds are to be used to attend a research conference. They have to get at least 3.0 GPA on a scale of 4.0.
- Award: $300 – $1,000

- Name: COLFA Center for Student Excellent Experiential Learning scholarship
- Criteria: The applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in the College Liberal and Fine Arts. They must be ‘good ones. They have to be eligible, accepted, and approved for experience before the funds are given. It is possible for them to not be rewarded two scholarships in one fiscal year.
