The Student Access of UCI
In UCI, the term Student Access refers to the menu that can be found on the official website of UCI. This one is obviously intended for students. This menu is located at the top of the screen, the fifth one from the left and the fourth one from the right.
With Student Access, each student of University of Carolina, Irvine is able to access a lot of things, including the grade history, the schedule, attendance, and so on. Since it is available online, it makes it easier for students to check these things.
In order to access the Student Access, you will have to log in with your UCInetID and the password. For those who have no idea about this ID, it is your electronic identification that is widely used in a lot of online services at the University of California, Irvine. Apart from Student Access, there are some other services that use this ID, including ZotPortal, WebFiles, Webmail, EEE, and WebReg. Just like most IDs, the UCInetID is important, that’s why you should not share it with others.
If you want to activate your UCInetID, the first thing that you will need to do is to get an ID number. Each student will receive their ID number the first time they apply to UCI. After getting this number, the next step is to open the activate page of the official website of UCI at activate.uci.edu to activate your UCInetID. Besides, it is also needed for you to give the date of birth and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number or SSN.
Once you have obtained your UCInetID number and the password, you can enter both of them in the columns. Do not forget to press the green Login button to log in to the Student Access of UCI.

- Enrollment
There are two separate steps that have to be completed to be officially registered in UCI. The first one is enrollment in classes and the second one is payment of tuition and fees.
If you want to enroll in classes, you can do it by logging in to WebReg with your UCInetID and password. When the enrollment window opens, you have a limited of 488 hours of full access. Once the time is up, you will be restricted to non-primetime access and it is time for the other students to have the privilege to access it. Please check the thing called Quarterly Calendar if you want to see the enrollment periods as well as the other important dates.
Before enrolling, keep in mind to seek and follow the academic advising guide of your school or program. It is possible for you to get advice from the academic advisor about the course, requirements, and so on before enrolling in classes.
Even before paying tuition and fees, everyone is still able to enroll in classes. However, it is still recommended to pay them on time in order to prevent getting dropped from classes and the assessment of late charges.
- Tuition and Fees

Keep in mind to file it early than the deadline set by the advising office. If you took absences for more than one certifying term, you will graduate in absentia. Please apply to graduate through Student Access. After getting degree certification, which usually takes place 6 weeks after the end of the quarter, the thing known as a Graduation in Absentia filing will be submitted on your behalf. Even though there is no additional tuition and fees, it is still a loss because you will still need to pay a readmission fee if the period of absence was for more than one certifying term.
The commencement ceremonies of the UCI undergraduate are usually held in June. This one is intended for all students who graduate any quarter of the academic year.
