Set Up Testing in NWEA MAP
On the MAP Growth site, you are able to select Manage Test Sessions, and follow Option 1, 2, or 3 to make a testing session. A testing session groups the students so you are able to administer testing and has no effect on reporting.
Option 1—Find the Students to Test
This option is very useful for preparing an arbitrary group of the students ahead of time.
- At the first step, click Find Students to Test.
- Then, select criteria and click Search.
- Please review the search results and click Add Students.
- Please repeat the search as needed. For note: You have to keep the student count below 100, too many students will be able to slow the sign-in. If a student is missing, you are able to try using <No School Assigned> in the criteria. If you need to add a student, you have to contact a school leader for instructions.
- Now, you are able to choose students and make required assignments. For note: Each student will be able to have a different assignment.
- If you plan to utilize this testing session at a later time, just click Save Session. Please use a name which is unique and easy to type. Please avoid spaces, capital letters and special characters.
- If you need to test immediately, you are able to click Test Now.
Option 2—Test My Class
You are able to use this option if you are testing your own class of the students.
- Firstly, click Test My Class. If the button does not work, then your MAP profile was not associated with a class of students for this term. Also, contact a MAP leader in your school/district.
- After that, you have to choose one of your classes, if asked. The Proctor console will appear and the testing session will start.
- Now, you have to choose students and make required assignments. Remember that each student will be able to have a different assignment.
Option 3—Use Saved Testing Session
You are able to use this option if a session was already made and saved by you or someone in your school or district.
- At the first step, you have to click Show next to Saved Testing Sessions.
- To see testing sessions made by others, just change Created By. For note: Access may be limited. You are only able to access sessions created by someone with a District Proctor role.
