About the Student Orientation for Online Courses
The students have to complete the orientation successfully, with a score of 80 percent or better, before they are allowed to access their fully online or hybrid courses. The students who have not completed the orientation successfully will hold on their D2L account. For your information, the hold is released once the orientation quiz is completed successfully with an 80% or better. Remember that the students are able to retake the quiz until they attain a score of 80% or better.
After your orientation quiz is completed with a score of 80% or better, then your certificate appears as an Announcement and the hold is released.
What Is the Student Orientation for Online Courses?
the Student Orientation for Online Courses is a short online orientation (about 1 hour) which prepares students to understand:
- What is different about taking courses online versus in the classroom.
- How to navigate the learning management system.
- How to adapt study habits to promote success in online courses.
