The curriculum that is based on the standard aligned video is offered by Edgenuity for the students of Los Angeles Unified School District of LAUSD. With this program, the educator is allowed to customize the curriculum for their students who monitor their own progress while they are completing lessons, assessments, and interactive activities.
There are a total of three online credit bearing courses offered in the instructional settings. These three include:
- Virtual Implementation (EDG/APXL): This one is the course that is offered online. The appropriately credentialed teacher will be provided by the vendor. Each course included here is approved by the NCAA.
- Blended Implementation (EDG/APX): an LAUSD credentialed instructor is the one that will deliver the instruction. As for the digital content, it is given by the online vendor. Just like the Virtual Implementation (EDGL/APXL), this one is also approved by the NCAA.
- Prescriptive versions (EDGP/APXP): All the courses included here are designed for credit recovery only. When it is available, it is possible for the two courses mentioned above to offer a course in a prescriptive or mastery-based version. Apparently, they are the same as the core or original credit version that has a test out feature. Keep in mind that the prescriptive courses are not approved by the NCAA even though they are offered in the virtual model.
