If you access the link that we mentioned above, you will see that the title of the screen is green and it says Welcome to Georgia Online Virtual Instruction Enterprise Wide (GoVIEW). Do you know what it is? It is a system of learning management for online collaborative programs which are given by University System of Georgia (USG) institutions. GoVIEW Brightspace by D2L is used to send courses online to students throughout the USG. Before you log in on that page, you can perform a system check first. If it has been done, then you can enter your username and password to login and access your courses.

Login & Password Problems

If you find that you are not able to remember your password or if the password that you are typing is not accepted, you can find a Forgot Your Password link on the login page you usually use. How to Access Our Course?

After you log in, you are able to access your courses by using Course Selector or My Course. If you want to access your courses by using Course Selector, you can find it at the top of the page. But, if you want to access your courses through My Courses, you can find My Courses widget on the Brightspace homepage.

The Steps to Pin Courses in the Select Course Dropdown

If you decide to pin a course, it permits you to organize your courses so that certain ones can always be seen at the top of the Select Course dropdown. If you want to pin a course, you are able to follow the steps below.

  • First, you are able to click Select a Course.
  • Then, you need to find the course from the list or type its name in the search bar.
  • Now, you have to choose the Pin icon to the right of the course to pin it to the top of the list.

The Steps to Remove Old  Courses That Are Still Showing

For instructors, they should remove old courses from your view before the new semester begins. If courses from your previous semester are still showing, you are able to do these things.

  • You are able to contact the instructor for that course.
  • You are able to ask them to de-activate the course.
  • If the instructor is not available, you are able to contact your school’s Help Desk and explain the problem.

What To Do If The Submit Quiz Button is Not Working

If you find that the submit quiz button is not working, you are able to follow the steps below. You can do the method below if you have reached the end of the quiz and it does not permit you to submit your attempt.

If you see that there is time remaining on your quiz attempts, you have to make sure that you saved your answers. Then, you can exit the quiz and re-enter it.

If you see that there is no time remaining on the quiz, you are able to contact your instructor and explain your issue. As long as you save your answers, your quiz appears In Progress.

This permits the instructors to view the attempt and the answers that you have submitted. In addition, they may be able to submit the attempt for you.

What To Do If We Lose Internet Connection or Page Froze While Taking Quiz

It is possible that when we are taking a quiz, then suddenly we lose our internet connection. Or, the page suddenly froze when we were taking a quiz. If it happens, what do we have to do?

If there is time remaining on your Quiz, you can exit the quiz and then re-enter the quiz. Questions that you saved will remain. However, if the time has expired, you are able to contact your instructor and then you need to explain the situation to them.

What To Do If Most Courses Unavailable Until Their Start Date

As a student, you may wonder why most courses are unavailable until your start date. Well, most online courses will be unavailable until the day the students officially begin unless there are special arrangements which have been made in advance. It means that most students will not be able to preview the online classes that they plan to take next semester until that semester starts. Also, it is important for you to note that it may take up to 24 hours after you register for an account to be created for you to access GeorgiaVIEW. So, if you just registered, you are able to wait for 24 hours first.
