If your Kahoot game is stored in the Team Space’s folder, you will be forced to make this game ‘Unlisted’ or visible only to the ‘Organization’. You also have to move your game to the personal folder in order to use other visibility options.

  • Public
    If you select the ‘Public’ option, your Kahoot game will appear in the search result on the Discover Page. Any social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Slack will preview your game’s description, title, language and also cover image when  you post a share link. Certainly, this option will be available if your Kahoot game is saved under the personal folder in the Library Tab.
  • Private
    If you select the ‘Private’ option, your Kahoot game will not appear in the search results on the Discover Page. It means that you have to be signed in to access the Kahoot. To give other users access, you need to follow these steps to share with others. However, this option will be available if the Kahoot game is saved under the personal folder in the Library tab.
  • Unlisted
    If you select the ‘Unlisted’ option, your Kahoot game will not appear in the search results on the Discover page. However, you are able to post a share link anywhere. This option will be available if your Kahoot game is saved in your team space or under the personal folder in the Library tab.

Furthermore, if your Kahoot game is saved to a team folder, the visibility option will be:

  • Organization
    If you select the ‘Organization’ option, your Kahoot game is visible only to members of your Team Space. Your Kahoot game will not appear in the search results on the Discover Page.
  • Unlisted
    If you select the ‘Unlisted’ option, your Kahoot will not appear in the search result on the Discover Page. However, you can still post a share link anywhere. This option will be available if your Kahoot game is saved in your team space or under the personal folder in the Library tab.

To make it more understandable, this post will also show you how to create a free Kahoot game through the official site of Kahoot. Here’s how!

Step 1: Login with your Kahoot account

First, go to Kahoot.com. To access Kahoot, you can use any browser from a computer or mobile phone or tablet.

After accessing the site, you have to login with your Kahoot account. If you do not have an account, of course you need to register first by clicking the ‘Sign Up’ button at the homepage of Kahoot site. Then, follow the further on-screen instructions until you successfully create your account.

Once you have logged in, you may need to click on the ‘Create Kahoot’ that can be found on the right side of the page beside the ‘Upgrade Now’ option.

Step 2: Select the template

In the ‘Creator’ page, you need to select a template or also create a new game from scratch. If you select a template, you surely have a pre-filled out game that will be available to change. If you select to create a new game, you have to start from a blank form.
