After creating a CodeHS account and joining a class, you will be able to access your course anytime. But if you’re a new to CodeHS teaching platform, you may be a bit confused about how to access courses, as it allows you to do a few steps until you can access your courses. How Can Someone Access Their Course or Courses in CodeHS Each Day
If you’ve joined a CodeHS class, you can access CodeHS anytime from anywhere in the world by visiting codehs.com. Once you are at the login page, you need to enter your username and password or also click the ‘Login with Google’ option.

If you are a teacher and have students with CodeHS for the first time, you can invite them to join your section, so they will be able to enroll in your course. If your students cannot login to their accounts, you may need to reset your student passwords and troubleshoot login issues from your teacher account.

Before you take a course, you can also browse CodeHS courses through the Courses Catalog page. However, you may need to explore CodeHS courses to find out a proper one.

As we know, CodeHS courses will teach you applicable computer science skills. you can also come away both with conceptual understanding needed to learn new languages or a knowledge of professional programming languages.

To find out an appropriate course at CodeHS platform, you can also filter your search by choosing your school level either Middle School or High School. You can also choose your state to narrow your search.

How to Invite a Student to Join a Class Section?

If you are a teacher in CodeHS, you can invite students to join your class section. To invite a student, you can head toward your Teacher Page here. Then, you can click on the section that you want students to join.

After that, you can click the (+) dropdown beside ‘How students can join this section’ option. In this page, you will see two ways that students can join your section:

  • By clicking ‘Invite Now’ to send them an email link to your section QR
  • Through a URL that students can visit to register for your section

Once using the signup link, your students will be prompted to log in or create an account on CodeHS. Your student can also confirm the section, course and teacher information before joining. The student can choose ‘Select a new section’ and then they can enter a class code if the section information is not as expected.

For more information, the student’s class code can be found in the invitation link or beside the section name on the Roster or Teacher page.

How to join additional sections? If your students have joined your class section, but they want to join another section, they can click https://codehs.com/join_class and then enter the class code for their new section.

How to switch a student to a different section? You will be able to switch a student to a different section by heading toward your class Roster Page. Here, you can click on the ‘…’ dropdown to the right of the student’s name. After that, you can click the Switch Sections button to choose a new section for the student.

How to delete a student from a section? For some reasons, you may need to delete a student from your section. To do so, you can only navigate to your roster page. Then, you can click the ‘…’ to the right of the student’s name. After that, you can click the ‘Remove From Section’ button to delete your student.

In the case of removing a student accidentally from one of your sections, your student can rejoin your class by going to http://codehs.com/join_class and then enter your class code again.

Meanwhile, if your student accidentally joined or were switched into the wrong section, they can switch into your class by going to http://codehs.com/switch_class and then enter your class code.

In a circumstance when your student needs extra help, you can communicate with their parents about your plan to use CodeHS for virtual learning. Afterwards, their parents can learn about the CodeHS platform at https://codehs.com/info/. However, they have created a letter to explain to their parents what CodeHS is if they should be working from home.
