According to research, he was born on January 4, 1994. Derrick Henry grew up in Yulee (Florida). He set the national high school football record for career rushing yards with Yulee Hornets. Also, Derrick Henry played college football for Alabama Crimson Tide. During his junior season, Derrick Henry broke Herschel Walker’s single-season college rushing yards record in the SEC, and won the 2015 Heisman Trophy, the Maxwell Award, the Doak Walker Award, and the Walter Camp Award. He was a key part of the 2015 Alabama Crimson Tide football team who won the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2016.
In the year of 2016, Derrick Henry was drafted in the second round of the NFL draft by the Titans. Derrick Henry led the NFL in rushing yards for the 2019 season, as well as rushing touchdowns (tied with the Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones).
