In Deakin University, there is Student Connect. Do you know what it is? It can assist you to manage your enrolment at Deakin. It ranges from enrolling and updating your course and units, your personal details, finding out your exam timetable and results to applying to graduate. On December 18th, 2018, the new version of Student Connect was launched and you will see that there are big changes. They improve the navigation and usability vastly and now it is easier to enrol in units and stay on top of your enrollment either from your desktop or your mobile.
In Student Connect, there are several menus. The first is Personal Details. Here, you can update personal detail such as your preferred name and contact details, and complete a small series of questions that are used for Government and University statistics. You are also able to provide your bank details if required, download a Transport Concession Form and tell us about your career intentions to help us provide tailored career planning services. In the Enrollment menu, you are able to enroll in units, withdraw from units, check your course and unit details, choose a major, minor or specialization (unit set), check your course progress, intermit or discontinue your course, check your recognition of prior learning, and print your evidence of enrollment.
In the Fees and Payment menu, you can pay your tuition. You need to know that each study period, you should generate your invoice. StudentConnect permits you to make payments for tuition fees and the Student Services and Amenities Fee and view old invoices.There is also Government HELP loans menu and you are able to check if you have FEE-HELP, HECS-HELP, SA-HELP and Commonwealth Assistance Notices (what deferred to the Australian Taxation Office). Assessment and exams menu enables you to check your exam timetables, view your results, register to have your results that will be sent through SMS and apply for special consideration. In the timetable menu, there is Star option and there you are able to create your timetable each study period for tutorials, lectures, seminars and more. In the Graduation menu, you are able to apply to graduate and view the details of your graduation application and you can do this when you are in your final study period.
