Contacting Help Desk For D2L
When we are using D2L, it is possible that we face a problem where we need a help to solve it. The Steps to Forward my D2L Emails to Another Account
If you want to forward D2L emails to another account, you are able to do that by following the steps below.
- The first thing that you have to do is to click on Email from the navbar.
- After that, you need to click on Settings.
- Can you see Forwarding Options? Under it, make sure that you check the ‘Forward incoming messages to an alternate email account’ check box. Then, you have to enter the forwarding Email Address, and you have to choose your preferences.
It is important for you to note that if you add or update your reply To or Forwarding email address, you will get an email prompting you to verify your email address. To be able to verify your email address, you need to click on the link in the email verification message that you got.
What to Do If I Get a “Not Authorized” Error Trying to Access my Email
If you try to access your email and then you find that there is ‘Not Authorized’ error, the thing that you have to do is to click on your Message Alerts which is in an envelope icon from the navbar. If you see this message: ‘You must complete the following quizzes for alerts to be enabled: {Quiz Name}’, you have to complete it. After you are able to complete the quiz detailed in the message alert, then you will be able to access your email. When the quiz is in progress, your instructor disables your email access.

If you are not able to access your email inbox, but you are only able to send emails, it means that your institution has send-only email enabled. It also means that you are not able to receive emails in Brightspace.
How to Change Email Address in Brightspace
If you are a student of Normandale, you can customize your account settings to reflect your personal preferences. One of them is to change your email address. To do that, you can follow the steps below.
- First, you have to click your personal menu.
- After that, you need to choose Account Settings.
- In the General Settings section, you are able to change the email address that you use to receive notifications. It also the location where you are able to change your password.
- After you make a change, do not forget to click on Save and Close button.
Besides changing email address, you can also customize several things in the Account Settings, so just do what you like here. In the Font Settings, you are able to customize the system font size. Let’s say that you want to increase the font size, then you can do that here. However, it is important for you to note that font changes will nor be reflected in images, documents or objects such as math questions. The options of the font size include small, medium, large and huge.
What about the Dialog Setting? It permits you to set secondary windows as either dialogs or pops-ups. If assistive technology is used such as a screen reader, it is better for you to set secondary windows as pop-ups.
