When you decide to study at The University of Arizona, you may wonder whether there is a D2L app that is used by this university. If there is an app that you have to use, of course you need to know where to download it and how to use it.

D2L Apps at The University of Arizona

Brightspace Pulse

One of the apps which is used is Brightspace Pulse. You are able to download it through the Google Play and App Store. Then, you have to find the University of Arizona in the list under ‘Select Your Institution’. And last, you can log in with your NetID credentials.

According to the description of Brightspace Pulse video on the University of Arizona website, through Brightspace Pulse, you are able to manage your workload and stay up to date with your courses to track due dates and view real-time updates.

When you log into Brightspace Pulse, you are able to check easily to see which readings, assignments and other activities are upcoming in your courses. In Week view, you will see that a graph shows your activity level throughout the week, an activity summary indicates how many of the week’s activities that you have completed, and a list of the current day’s activities is also provided.

D2L Arizona App

If you want to see the activities due on that day, you are simply able to tap a day in the graph. To go back, you can tap Calendar which shows the current day’s activities. If you want to view the details of activity, you can tap an activity. If you want to view the activity, you can tap Open. When you navigate back to your schedule, you are able to tap an activities’ checkmark to mark it as completed. You are able to view course updates by tapping Notifications. You can tap an evaluation update to see its details. If you want to see your grade, you can swipe left.

If you are ready, you can go back to your displayed activities. Then, you can tap Settings to filter activities by course and activity type. You can only enable Show graded activities only if you want to filter out activities with a 0% weighting.

If you want to show your activities in chronological order, you can tap Schedule. You can add your own activities to fill in gaps in your schedule and keep track personal activities. You can tap add activity. Choose an activity types and then enter a title for the activity. You can associate the activity with a course and you can do that by tapping Course and making a selection. Then, tap Date due to set the time and date the activity should be completed. Then, tap percentage worth to associate a value with the item. The recently added activity now shows in your schedule.

The University of Arizona also uses Brightspace Binder. However, there is not much information about it on the site.

Arizona Mobile

In the Arizona Mobile app, you will have on-the-go access to the most commonly used online resources at the University of Arizona. Here is what you will get.

  • You can have Campus Map and CatTran routes which will make you easier to get around campus.
  • There is CatMail which can be used to keep up with email, and the UA Phonebook is available for looking up contact information for students, faculty and staff.
  • You have access to academic information through D2L, UAccess and the Schedule of Classes.
  • There are the UA Bookstore and UA Libraries for finding textbooks and research materials.
  • Through Arizona mobile, you are also able to get information on a lot of other facets of campus life such as Campus Health, Campus Recreation, and the UA Student Unions.

Arizona Mobile

How to use the Arizona mobile app? This app is map-based navigation and it allows you to be able to find campus locations from the building search or your class schedule and links you to the map of your phone for directions. You will see that the main screen is the campus map. Then, under it, there is a navigation pane which you are able to swipe up to cover the map or swipe down to see more of the map.

In the map menu, you are able to click the ‘i’ info button on the upper right as an alternate way to reach the Navigation Pane options described below or to do this:

  • sign in with WebAuth so that you are allowed to see your class schedule.
  • offer Feedback to the Arizona team.
  • check the Arizona Mobile Privacy Policy.

You have to click the index button on the upper right if you want to get a list of buildings or types of facilities you can search for on the map. If you want to see your current location, you can click the compass arrow button on the upper right.

You are able to use the Search bar at the top of the navigation pane if you want to find a building. If you are logged in, you are able to type the name of your class to find the building it is located in.

If you click on the Explore tab, you are able to choose what you want.

  • Resources

It links for Athletics, BookStore, Campus Health, Alumni, Any Question (SOS), Campus Rec, Career Resources, CatCard, DRC, Parent & Family, Passports, Safety, UA Travel, Give Now, Housing, Meal Plans (New!), and ZonaZoo.

  • Food

You can get a list of campus restaurants, with options to find on the map or see the menu.

  • Library

You can get the location on the map of all University Libraries locations or just one.

  • Labs

With it, getting the location on the map of all OSCR labs or just one is possible to do. You can click OSCR Lab Info for hours and other information.

  • Phonebook

You are able to find popular office numbers here or search for people in the campus directory.

If you click on the Schedule tab and you are logged in, you can see your schedule of classes and it can be used by you to find the buildings where your classes are located on the map. If you are not logged in, the things that you will see are events from the University’s Master Calendar.

If you click on the Transit tab, you will be informed the campus CatTran routes with real-time locations of shuttles.
