  • Do laboratory support functions as set at all Saint Alphonsus Medical Center locations, such as helping the patients, faxing, and answering phone calls.
  • Making sure the accuracy of instructions and supplies provided to the patients.
  • Properly and quickly, packages and ships STAT specimens to outside locations for testing.
  • Handles printed reports and disposes of confidential reports correctly.
  • Proficient in utilizing the specimen tracking system for specimen tracking or retrieval if applicable in the facility.
  • Helps with orientation of the new employees, students, and other staff.
  • Ability to communicate with the patients and hospital staff effectively.
