Do you want to register for the Austin Independent School District for 2021-2022? If so, you are able to access the official website of Austin Independent School District (AISD). Enrolling to Austin Independent School District (AISD)

You are able to enroll in the Austin Independent School District (AISD) through the phone by sending this message: “ENROLL” to 512-886-6434.

As explained on the AISD website, to register students new to AISD, you have to create an AISD Portal account before you are able to access the online registration system. How to create an AISD portal account? You have to visit After you click on it, you will be taken to the login page. Since you are a new student, you have to click on the Create A Portal Account and then you will be taken to the User agreement page and you have to give a checkmark on the box at the bottom by clicking on the box which indicates that you agree to the terms of usage. Then, click on the Next button.

After that, you will be taken to a page where there is a form to fill. There, you have to enter your username which can be letters and numbers but not an email address and at least 8 character minimum without spaces or special characters, first name, last name, your home address, city, state, zip, home phone, cell phone, work phone, email address, password and confirm password. Then, you can click on the Next button and follow the next instructions there.

After you create an account, you have to gather documents at the child’s campus or you can upload the documents in online registration. The documents needed are Child’s birth certificate

  • Child’s social security card (optional)
  • Child’s immunization records
  • Child’s withdrawal form/last report card (if applicable)
  • Parent/Guardian photo ID
  • Proof of guardianship (if applicable)
  • Proof of residency

After your account is created, then you are able to register online. It is important for you to note that only family or guardian contacts can use the online registration system. If you  have any questions or need help with AISD portal or online registration, you are able to contact the student’s campus or you can call Family support at 512-414-9187. It is also important for you to note that documents such proof of new address and birth certificates are able to be attached online during this process or sent to the campus.

As families, you have the option to adjust your child’s educational experience in AISD. You are able to review and apply for AISD magnet programs or transfers by accessing magnet and transfer pages of AISD. If you want to choose another program or school than your child is assigned, you are able to do that by applying in the AISD Portal.

By joining extracurricular activities, students can develop leadership and critical thinking skills. So, it can support their academic performance and prepare them to be college and career ready.
  • Austin ISD has early college programs. It includes Early College High School, Pathways in Technology and Texas Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Scholars have the chance to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and an associate degree in high demand careers.
  • Austin ISD has career and technical education. With it, you will be provided with the academic knowledge and technical skills that you need so that you can get entry to high skill, high wage, and high demand industries. In Career and Technical Education, you will be provided with work-based learning experiences that mix hands-on learning with real world scenarios. So, you are prepared to get into the workforce or college after you graduate high school.

Are there any other reasons for registering to Austin ISD? Of course, there is. Austin ISD has teachers which have National Board Certification more than any other school district in Texas. Besides, in the schools, there are ninety languages spoken with 11 languages in addition to English taught and those include Japanese, Chinese and American Sign Language.
