Enrolling to Austin Independent School District (AISD)
You are able to enroll in the Austin Independent School District (AISD) through the phone by sending this message: “ENROLL” to 512-886-6434.
As explained on the AISD website, to register students new to AISD, you have to create an AISD Portal account before you are able to access the online registration system. How to create an AISD portal account? You have to visit portal.austinisd.org. After you click on it, you will be taken to the login page. Since you are a new student, you have to click on the Create A Portal Account and then you will be taken to the User agreement page and you have to give a checkmark on the box at the bottom by clicking on the box which indicates that you agree to the terms of usage. Then, click on the Next button.
After that, you will be taken to a page where there is a form to fill. There, you have to enter your username which can be letters and numbers but not an email address and at least 8 character minimum without spaces or special characters, first name, last name, your home address, city, state, zip, home phone, cell phone, work phone, email address, password and confirm password. Then, you can click on the Next button and follow the next instructions there.
After you create an account, you have to gather documents at the child’s campus or you can upload the documents in online registration. The documents needed are Child’s birth certificate
- Child’s social security card (optional)
- Child’s immunization records
- Child’s withdrawal form/last report card (if applicable)
- Parent/Guardian photo ID
- Proof of guardianship (if applicable)
- Proof of residency
After your account is created, then you are able to register online. It is important for you to note that only family or guardian contacts can use the online registration system.
